The change of seasons gets us pretty excited as it paves way for new opportunities to mess around with your wardrobe. Here’s an edgy look channelling the best of the best that gets you ready for the cold of Fall.

Okay, okay… it’s a little early, but you got to get these items before they’re gone…

It’s time to channel your inner Steve McQueen and put on a badass leather jacket, couple it with a great marled sweat that has texture and the right neck for the fall, and put on that black Prada scarf. This is a masculine but classy look. Be sure to do the scarf knot where you fold it once over, hang around your neck, and put the end through the loop. Throw on Acne’s properly fitting (not too slim, not to baggy) Texas jeans for that rugged and edgy look, and keep up the edge factor with black — we repeat — black driver shoes. The suede is a great look, and the dark look of them nicely complements the light beat up jeans. Good news is, with a tapered 16″ leg opening, the jeans won’t awkwardly sag over the shoes. Definitely a good look for a motorcycle.

Zegna Leather Jacket, $3450 at Bergdorf.
Michael Kors Sweater, $395 at Neiman Marcus.
Prada Scarf, $185 at Neiman Marcus.
Acne Jeans, $275 at Oak.
Tod’s Driver Slipper $425 at Neiman Marcus.

jcrew sale
Just giving you the heads up on some sales going on this week. Gilt Groupe will be hosting the Swedish denim label Acne tomorrow at noon. This will be a great place to pick up some very good quality jeans for minimal prices. Next, APC is taking 30-50% off of all of their Spring/Summer ’09, another place to pick up some good deals, but the jeans, sadly, will most likely not have any sales tags on ’em. Check it here or in stores. Oak NYC is rolling out their end of the season 30-40-50 sale, where sales will start at 30% and rise another 10% every week for three weeks. Oak always has some great stuff, but we suggest waiting till stuff gets to 50% off until you really start looking. It’s online and in stores. Finally, J. Crews end of the season sale just started off. You’ll find their gear 50% off, and as we all know, J. Crew has some solid gear. Check it out online and in stores.

8 hyden yoo

If you don’t know Hyden Yoo for his clothing, you still my know him for other reasons. In the third season of Fear Factor, Yoo brought home $50,000. Yeah, that probably makes him the toughest designer, not sure how tough his competition is, though. What we care about is what he did with that cash. He quit his job and went straight into the fashion game, and the rest, as they say, is history. Yoo’s clothing is a boutique favorite and can be found at places like Oak and Blackbird. The reason we love this particular button down is because it has two key ingrediants for making a great piece of clothing: proper fit and a little bit of flair to separate it from the competition. You may not be able to tell from the photo, but it is actually a white shirt with tiny black grid patters. The basics are covered so that it can be worn as easily by itself as with a sport coat, and is the proper legnth to be worn both tucked in and out. At $150 it gives you a great look without paying ridiculous prices. Get it here.
