Bow ties are meant to be fun. They allow you to escape from the sea of neckties that will inevitably surround you. So, when picking a bow tie, you should really think about the message you’re sending, because you will be sending a message whether you like it or not. If you’re looking to have a nice little tongue-in-cheek bow tie, consider this one by Ben Silver that carries the crest of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. Sure, it’s a great little nugget if you’re a doctor, but that treds a little too close to those lame ironic ties with baseballs or christmas critters. However, if you didn’t go to med school then this is a great choice. The crest won’t immediately pop out and be recognizable, but it provides the perfect reoccurring pattern, kind of like a smart polka dot. Go pick up this one at Ben Silver for $82.
