Often times High School is a period of serious sartorial awkwardness. Kids are coming into their own, trying to figure out what it’s all about, and it shows. Sure, there are always a few kids ahead of the curve, but for the most part guys seriously struggle in putting themselves together in the morning. If we could put together the perfect High School wardrobe, it would look something like this…
When most guys are wearing baggy jeans and t-shirts, this is the look that will set you apart without being labeled “The Artsy Kid”. The Michael Bastian Varsity Jacket is totally awesome as it has all of the classical notes of those 60’s prepsters while still staying modern. The J. Crew large gingham shirt is another great choice as the pattern really pops off the shirt without being too loud. We also love the Alexander Olch worsted wool tie as it’s smart and relaxed, so it won’t make you look like you’re playing dress-up. The J. Crew anchor belt is really cool and is awesome for just about any outfit, but we especially like it for this one because it’s different than what all your other classmates are wearing. Levis is a perfect choice for jeans as they’re so classic that no one will think you’re parading around fancy jeans, but these guys are trim and have the perfect fade to them. Finally, Spicoli may have helped popularize the slip-on, but try to be a little more refined and go with these guys from Common Projects.
