It might be a little early for this, seeing as you’re even surprised that we’re telling you to buy some pieces for Fall ’09 right now, but Selectism gave the world the heads up on Grenson’s new lineup for Summer 2010, and we like what we see. Grenson is a heavy hitter in the British shoe market, ranking among the best, sometimes on par with brands like Church’s, but always delightfully affordable by comparison. And they’re also one of the few classic brands daring enough to collaborate with contemporary brands like Rag and Bone. We dig the more conservative designs in this lineup, and the dark guys with the contrast laces and the white sole — which appears to be rubber, not sure — steal the show, but we appreciate the devout use of wooden soles on other pieces. Very classy, Grenson. And we can’t say we could pull off the red ones, but we also can’t say they disappoint. The boot with the perforations — eh, we’ll let you decide. Check out Selectism’s article here (and thanks to Selectism for the pics).
